WHO WE ARE

Lighthouse Logo - WHITE.webp

LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH

We're here for people in their happiest moments and during their most challenging times.

MISSION

Our mission is to lead people to God and encourage mutual service within the church, building up the body of Christ as stated in Ephesians 4:11-13 and Matthew 28:18-20: "…preparing all God’s people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ…”

God has called LC members to minister to those seeking a relationship with Him. We provide a safe environment for children, youth, and adults in our community and city. We also reach out to those in need by offering physical assistance (temporary help with clothing, food, and shelter) and emotional support (healing from abuse, addictions, and life challenges) to enhance their quality of life.

VISION

Lighthouse exists to make disciples who bring the message of Jesus to every part of their lives—where they live, work, study, and play. Our goal is for our homes, neighborhoods, and city to flourish through this mission.

From the heart of the city comes art, politics, and business—its culture. We believe it is crucial for the message of Christ to reach the places where culture is made. That’s why we’ve made Peoria our home.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Love God, Love People, Serve the World

CORE VALUES

Love God

Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34). To fulfill all of Scripture, one must first learn to love God: “...You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment...All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.” (Matthew 22:37-38, 40).

Love People

Lighthouse nurtures this principle by teaching members to “...Love one another...As I have loved you...” (John 13:34).

Serve The World

By joining and participating in volunteering, small groups, department ministries, or any other church activities, individuals learn to love others within the community.
